Nothing is easy for Charlie Brown.

You have to sympathize with Charlie Brown. He can never get a break though you often wish he had breaks given now and again.

I only thought of running away once, but was interrupted by my brother while getting my stuff ready. I was relieved to see him because I thought I’d just killed him in our boxing match.

A-ha! Charlie Brown has a comb in his bundle! Proof to all the doubters that he has hair! :)

The comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, and extra socks I can understand, but what’s he doing with an eraser and sun tan lotion, or whatever those other things are?

Nowdays he would use a stolen grocery cart instead of a bundle on a stick.

Is running away the easy way out? When I think of all the immigrants that traveled to the America’s I see those that left behind their families, land, culture, way of life with just the hope of something better. Is that easy to do?

I remember doing that and my parents never put down their coffee. I left and then realized I didn’t have anywhere to go!

I remember this storyline from a Peanuts collection I had as a kid. It’s been decades since I read it but I remember all the upcoming comics clear as day.
