I think it will become self-limiting when she starts getting more than eighty telemarketing calls a day with emphasis on car warranties, final expense policies, Medicare disadvantage, and solar panels.
Hey, Papi. Try something close to one from “Ozy and Millie” from Millie’s Mom when Millie tried what Gracie is doing. “I rule your fuzzy butt. Mwahahahaha!”
I used to think that kids didn’t need cell phones and that it would somehow be harmful for them to have them. But as I look around these days just about everyone has one and the thing I most hate about people and their phones is that they have to be staring at it 24/7 or “my god” they might miss a text or important call or a super cool thing posted on social media. When I see this I think what is so important that you don’t want to see your surroundings or other people? How sad! Even adults have to have the phone in their hand looking at it while driving a car or blabbing on it. Are they so lonely and unhappy to be alone with their own thoughts?
He should have told her the rules Before he gave her the phone. You don’t give a child something and then try to negotiate the rules or threaten to take it away.

Locking the barn after the horse is stolen, as my Gram used to say.

Hard to believe that the adult in the room didn’t bother to think of setting ground rules prior to getting her a phone.

Rules still allow you to make a choice.. follow the rule or not. It doesn’t take away the consequences of your choice.

Every rule is the result of too many people making bad choices.

If the next one is, “I’m sorry, Sergio – I’m afraid I can’t do that,” smash it against the nearest wall at once. (You can make up with Gracie after.)
