Substitute teachers, here today gone tomorrow.

But if she’s here, then where’s… Oh, crap! The curse is now permanent!

Sleeveless? That is not a good look for her.

They’ve forgotten their blood brother pact already.

Judging by Ms. Campbell showing up, I don’t think that curse will be getting lifted anytime soon.

Just a thing I just noticed – the full name of the school is “G. C. Burkhead” (ref. yesterday’s strip and gocomics.Com/crabgrass/2024/01/21). There is a G. C. Burkhead Elementary School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, named after a school superintendent. And, if you check the About page, Tauhid grew up in Elizabethtown. Spooky!

Uh-oh… She’s back… so where’s the substitute?

Ms. Campbell called him “Kevin.” So there is no curse. They’re really themselves. They only perceive this magical switch. Hmm.

How can you be sure it’s really Ms Campbell and not a substitute that’s been switched?

This needs some kind of crescendo, and then a crash and burn. The spell must run its course, lessons must be learned and then the natural balance of blood brothers is restored. Grabs popcorn…..
