Many years ago I found an abandoned Sheltie cowering in the culvert under my driveway. She was so thin you could see her ribs, and huge hunks of her fur were missing. I took her to the vet who diagnosed her with the treatable form of mange, but he had to shave her down to bare skin. When he brought her out, she looked so embarassed. I went to the pet store to get her a sweater to help keep her warm. She loved her sweater! She eventually grew out a beautiful sable and white coat of fur and became one of the sweetest, most loyal dogs ever to share my life.
We’ve all been here, with the same choices: Hold your head up and live with it – Go in hiding for a few weeks – Adopt the ever trending buzz cut. (Bonus one: Use those scissors on the hairdresser, in ways not approved by it’s users manual)
Maybe you’ll start supervising her now. Poor Buckles…check for any cuts she might have inflicted on him with these scissors, which she shouldn’t have had in the first place!!!
When my child was little, she got up early and quietly one day and found some scissors. She had waist length hair. She cut her bangs to the scalp in places, cut large chunks off here and there, trimmed the dog, and also found a marker. I had new, very good furniture. She was about three. I asked her why she wrote on my new furniture with the marker, and she said she didn’t do it. I pointed out that she had signed her name on a white dining room chair. Then I had to figure out how to both keep her hair long and make it look decent, since her pictures were being taken at day care the next day. She also gave a Barbie doll a hair cute, and a stuffie, too. Considering her age, she actually did pretty well.

That’s why kids are never allowed scissors. Why did she give him a poodle cut?

Maybe a little adult supervision is in order…could have prevented this quite easily.
