From yesterday’s comments, yesterday was National Employee Appreciation Day. So, WDemBlk asked, “Is Walmart doing anything for the employees today?”
My Walmart did! Well, sort of. No, no treats in the break room, no party, no bonus, no recognition whatsoever, but they did finally fire a person we were all happy to see go. This guy was obnoxious and rude and he had a terrible temper. And what a slob! Every time I saw water on the floor in the break room, I knew he was working that day. He always dripped water and left it on the floor for other people to slip on. I slipped on his water more than once. The first time it happened, I didn’t know he was the one who did it and I voiced my displeasure very clearly, saying that the slob who dripped water on the floor should have cleaned it up. Well, he happened to be in the room at the time and he said it was “no big deal” if someone left water on the floor. That’s when I knew he was the one who did it. He always wore his pants hanging low so you could see his underwear and worse yet, he kept showing off his butt cheeks too. He was asked many times to pull up his pants. He didn’t care. He swore like a sailor and didn’t care if he offended people. He was loud and an all around nasty person. But here is why he was fired – Every time something happened that he didn’t like, he would throw a big hissy fit. He would “go off” on anyone he was mad at. A couple days ago, he went off on the store manager, yet he still wasn’t fired. But yesterday, he threw another fit, going off on the store manager again and he was finally fired. So, the store manager made us all very happy when they gave this guy the axe. Yippee!!!
Look out, kitty! Looks like that runaway carriage has picked up a few passengers. This is such a great story. On another note, saw two ducks, three wrens, a squirrel, and two varied thrushes while out walking today.

If I were in the proximity of small fry I would be having them practice their reading skills on Ten Cats.

Cute. I can see the tail of the cow. I imagine her hanging on the back of this nice menagerie on wheel. ♥

I’m sure Graham isn’t going to let anything bad happen to a cat in his Ten Cats strip.

It’s not one of the warehouse cats or Mimieux, perhaps a feral who will save the day.
