Dad, that “F” is for Fantastic.

At least he is not blaming his teacher.

The numerical grade would have justified it.

At my times Italian score at school went from 0 to 10. I got a 10 in Latin, divided into 5 tests. At the age of Wilberforce I was an unbelievably bad student. Fortunately, I then improved significantly.

Brutus+Gladys=Wilberforce! Any questions?

That’s how I view being graded by pass-fail, a P is much lower than an F.

His mark is solidly in the upper half of the alphabet.

I guess he couldn’t convince his teacher that 7 × 13 = 28.

Peppermint Patty got Z’s.

If 70% is passing, a Dr making a 70% can write the same prescriptions as a Dr making 100%. They are not all the same.

There will come a time when kids won’t have to take math if it makes them feel bad.

I once had a geometry teacher that gave F’s down to -5. An F-5 would take several A’s to bring your grade to passing. I don’t remember how many A’s were needed since I never brought my grade up. I failed her class. In Summer school, I got a B in geometry.

Wilberforce is graded on the scale where a D is Dandy and a F is Fine?

Wilberforce is going to be one of those who claims they have common sense so his stupidity is a virtue.

The kid has tea cozies in his future. Love that Gladys is stoic until her eye roll in the last panel. The grade itself apparently didn’t surprise her.

His teacher should take a page from Peppermint Patty’s teacher’s grading scale. "Extra strength “F” minus"

With his lack of the understanding of Math, he most DEFINITELY doesn’t understand the concept of infinity, and that infinity (and beyond) is how really low his test score truly was….

Wilberforce took it easy on him, he could have said it’s genes he has to work with.

I’m going to guess that either Brutus or Gladys (possibly both) were not particularly gifted in math when they were in school.
