Sometimes the players do fun things during the rain, though. Like using the tarp for a slip-and-slide.

I’m jealous, our rainy season is over pretty much

Personally, I find watching the rain more interesting and entertaining to watch than baseball.

Maybe they can slip in a few Gilligan’s Island reruns.

Ah, but it begets wise sayings, such as “You win some, you lose some…..” and in Brutus’ case, “Some days you get the elevator…”

Followed by rain-outs.

Just go with it Brutus. Chances are you need and would really enjoy a good long nap.

Showers? It has rained or snowed EVERY day here since the first of March. Meteorologists blame global warming .. something certain people claim does not exist. WHY there is global warming is debatable, but it IS happening.

For a moment, I thought this was me watching my favorite sitcom before sleeping. I usually watch the first episode, and sleep through the second. Usually I set the TV to go off so it doesn’t stay on all night.

Brutus lost the remote?

I didn’t know rain drops could make the day longer… maybe it’ll work on events we enjoy. :D

been a good April for The Guardians so far!

You win some, you lose some and some get rained out……

And so it begins, with a whimper but will do out in October like aLion’s roar, especially if it’s your team…..

I love the rule changes that MLB came up with last season to make the game go faster. Unfortunately, they don’t have sway over the weather. But at least they started the Guardians on the road so there would not be any opening day blizzards! Chip, do you remember frigid early season games in old Municipal Stadium?

Have a nap, Brutus, and then wake up in the third inning!

There’s also some indoor playoff games happening that don’t get rained out.

Better than basketball or football no matter how much rain.

Could be worse — he could be out at the stadium, freezing in the chill of a gray, rainy day in early April, waiting for the game to resume, or be cancelled. In my youth I spent a few such days at Shea Stadium, on Opening Day watching the NY Mets.

Looks like me watching the Twins this year.

Had to read that for a Great Masterpieces class, in the Olde English! Worse than taking a foreign language class!

from a cubs fan’s point of view, every game that’s rained out is one that you don’t have to watch them lose… ☺

I had to look up who the Guardians are – it has been that long since I watched baseball. I then remembered why the name changed. At first, I thought it was maybe an expansion team I never knew about.
