Get this, I live in Sun City, nothing ever happens here. Everybody is glued to their TVs all day. ( I’m not!) Anyway there was a little argument at one of the restaurants between the wait person and a diner. Diner leaves, calls up the Main office and says he is coming back with a gun and will unalive everyone in the place! All facilities are evacuated, golfers are called in. Gym, pool, classes are closed. Guy doesn’t show. Well! SOMEBODY forgot their meds today!
I had a real good visit with my niece. She asked a lot about my growing up years. I never got around to asking about her life – all those years we missed out on her growing up and what she’s doing now. I brought out a few old family photo albums from the 1980’s and 1990’s. Rachel was born in 1984. She liked seeing those pictures. There were some pictures of Christmas with her and her brother Matt. Our family has not had any contact with Matt since after my brother, Joe got divorced from Rommy and she shut us out of their lives. That was probably about 30 years ago. Rommy got married again and as far as i know, Matt legally changed his last name, wanting nothing to do with our family. Rommy did a good job poisoning his mind against all of us. None of us deserved to be shut out of their lives. I doubt if we’ll ever see him again. But at least Rachel is coming back into our lives. She was here for 3 hours. Then I took her out to the cemetery to show her where some of the family graves are. My parents, sister, Ruth, brother Paul, our grandparents and great grandparents and some more distant relatives (cousins, I think) who came here from Leeds, England.
A funny thing happened to me on Wednesday night. As I was ready to leave work, I had just a couple things I needed to buy. The regular registers were closed, since I don’t get off work until closing time, so I had to use the self checkouts. Which is okay with me because it’s a good way to get rid of my loose change. The selfcheck out refused one quarter and spit it back out at me. In fact, it had spit a quarter back at me a couple times before. I looked closely at the coin, seeing nothing wrong with it. A perfectly good coin. Well, no it wasn’t. When I flipped it over, I discovered the coin has 2 heads. No tails. No wonder the self checkout stand rejected it! I’m keeping it as a keepsake now.
When I went to GoComics, it was a different strip. When I first came back to my email it was the one from the site, but when I went to the comments, it reverted to the one with the grey bar.
I tried opening it in different browsers. Grey line. Graham will surely repost this later or give us a double toon tomorrow. Don’t think anything of value is covered up …. unlike Chesney’s smarty mouth. Wouldn’t you know we can see more of his (not Graham) tush than desired……although……
“The Godzilla 500” sounds like a good name for a wrecker. (Glad to see that the big guy finally won an Oscar, by the way.) I imagine Chesney’s going to be quite sore for some time. He’ll probably be sitting on a cushion for a while. On another note, saw a butterfly, a raven, a spotted towhee, a robin, a squirrel, a wren, a rabbit, and a chickadee while out walking today.
Hi all! I’m here to catch up on my comics. Our computer went belly up, so I’m working on an old laptop which is very slow. Funny that this comic references needing a crane, since the Key Bridge disaster happened in my state.

Anyone else seeing the grey bar across the bottom of the strip? Or is it just me? It’s showing up on two different browsers.

I love the mouse hat he has on, and no grey bar.

Don’t try to pull him out by his toe.
