Gotta give Gaylord credit; he’s not afraid of Broomie or her Zapper.

There are very few facts that I’d be willing to stake my life on.

“I need oxygen to breathe or I’ll die,” is one of them.

Did he call her an old battle-ax?

And cut down those beautiful trees?

I need to cut some firewood, then roast you at the stake.

Put a good scare into Gaylord, there, Broomie!

There needs to be a grace period between argument and axe.

Don’t ax Gaylord, Broomie!

I love the way the two trees in the first panel seem to be arguing, just like Hammie and Gaylord are.
