I don’t know what to think about this. I mean, Uncle Ted getting an online Girlfriend has been done before, but I love the way it’s been incorporated into this new arc. His Neil Diamond T-shirt is hilarious, Ted’s definitely the kind of guy to listen to him lol.

After seeing Nate’s dad and uncle I’m amazed his personality isn’t a lot worse.

I was right. He has a “girlfriend.” Now all he has to do is meet her.

Sigh I figured it’d be this. Stupid tired online dating jokes. See this is why I rolled my eyes a bit at people complaning about the daphne arc last month: It was long.. but it was a well told story that cemented the relationship, had a lot of great tension, and a good joke or two in the early parts before that really woudln’t of fit.

This however.. is something we’ve seen plenty of: We’ve seen ned be egotistical, awkward and just annoying. Yes nerds like him exist, Ned is the kind of guy whose mad silver surfer might be a lady, but if you don’t have anything new on the topic, don’t cover it. It’s the same reason Nate’s Grandpa and Coach John did and his stalker used to. It’s the same unfunny, dated character with no fresh spin. Hopefully i’m wrong to rant here and I can’t easily predict the conclusion as i’d love for ned , like Kim to get something new to him. A succesful relationship where he has to grow up a bit (I.e. actually get contribute to his parents house at a minimum), COULD be good. I just have my doubts.

Uncle ted’s online dating profile picture was probably a pro body builder. If my theory is right, as soon as his “girlfriend” meets the real deal, she will probably dump him
