He really should make sure he can get essential parts before he spends any more money on it. I suspect there are not too many usable driver’s side doors for a 62 year old car available. So is dad parking his car on the street?
Hmm Baldo, as the former owner of a money pit… er classic car? Sell it to some other sucker. Otherwise, it will keep you in the poor house for the rest of your life. I loved my ’49 Dodge Coronet, but I do not miss the repair bills.

Had a 1947 Studebaker pickup. Started working on it and soon realized, I can’t afford to finish this.

Well, it appears to have an engine in that aerial shot, which is more than many prior strips, so that’s progress.

You can take the Impala to the Treetops Junkyard. Ask for Irv, he’s the guy working on a DeSoto.

We were told by our mechanic that if certain parts on our mid 1990s Chevy Astro van go bad he can no longer get them for repairs.
Then again it has run this long while our 2012 Chevy Equinox car is more likely to die first due to mistakes in how it was designed.
(That leaves our RV van for driving if they both go.)
