The mystery story was a nail biter…..

BUCKLES, NOOO! You just chewed up Jill’s copy of Thomas and the Magic Railroad! (Wait, I don’t think that film existed during the publishing of this strip.)

Not sure the younger generation will get this scene…

Looks like it’s back to the basement for you Buckles.

Was it Love Story? Maybe.

How. many stars would you give the movie, Buckles?!

Buckles you know you’re a bad boy doing this. Either outside in the doghouse or the basement for punishment.

He didn’t like the ending, it’s leaving a bad taste in his mouth.

One of our female Rotts chewed up a rented VHS tape (yes, it was a long time ago), a paperback and my glasses. My wife figured out the dog was mad at me because I didn’t take her with me to a doctor’s appointment. I loaded the dog up in my little pickup and drove her around for a few minutes, then all was right with her world. The pup had never done anything like that before or afterwards. She lived until she was 15. I lost her a week after losing my father 20 years ago. I miss both of them.

One dog’s opinion is another person’s discipline.

Know he’s a cartoon, but sheesh train your dog.

If the movie was a mystery – the butler did it. If it was a romance or rom com – boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl. If it was sci fi – they went back in time & reset history so everything turned out okay.

You know this is reprint of an old strip because he chewed up a videotape.

The book is almost always better.

Well the movie business chews up and spits out enough people. Time to turn the tables.
