Need to paws at the doorway and use the mat before you come in……

Fred! Do not act so put upon! You could have avoided that compost heap, and you know it. She has every right to be upset with you. You know better.

When my dog comes into the house, I have a towel laid down so she can step on it then I wipe her paws. With the rain we’ve been getting they get very muddy.

Fred if the Dears have a Mud Room use that to enter ;-)

This is why carpet is not a good choice when you have kids and/or pets

One of our dogs, Deedee, hit the compost heap the first day home. She was smart enough to connect: compost → bath, and didn’t do it again.

Historical scene. The Dears for 60 years did nothing to prevent such an event. : )

When did this comic start portraying Fred and the Dears as so mean and angry? I miss the sweeter characterizations.

There, that is why vacuums were invented.

Hey, you let your pet out there unsupervised on a wet day!

Carpet, yeah. But you let him get on the upholstered chair!

After all, again we see: our beloved Fred is not exactly the star pupil in his obedience class ;-) That’s just how we love him.

Mrs Dear is getting as mean as Mr Dear

She can’t have it both ways. If she doesn’t want Fred to track dirt into the house, then don’t let him out on rainy days!
