It’s probably cheaper, anyway.

It can be cheap, but it can also add up. A pair of pickleball (recommended) shoes can cost $160 Canadian. A paddle can cost from $40 to $400. Some pickleball courts are free and some can cost up to $15 per hour. Of course golfing can be much more expensive.

And everyone in the neighbourhood hates y’all for filling the air with the incessant pok! pok! pok!

There’s always sunbathing.

Hockey.

You’ll get all the same benefits from golf if you leave the clubs and balls in the car and just walk the course, or you could caddy for someone.

last Sunday Betty talked about snooker. A pool table over the long run would be cheaper more entertaining.

Lots of people do both and enjoy it very much. Pickleball has the advantages of being cheaper, more active, very friendly and closer to home for a lot of folks. It also gives us better injuries to brag about.

Betty has something there. When the pickleball opponents are too far apart, we call that a “hole.” (It’s a great opportunity to hit it between them.)

Try miniature golf, a bit easier than the full size.You can practice putt at home.

Try bowling. Throw a strike. Repeat 12 times and you win.

Warning: it is more expensive if you lose your ball.
