Gee, does that mean that diners there have to TALK to each other? Oh, the horror!!

I don’t understand why people go out for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and ignore each other.

When you travel overseas you’ll be thankful for wherever you can get wifi, here in my rented condo in Manila the wifi is out between noon and 3 pm on average. Can’t wait to get home and my wifi and unlimited data.

If the waitress is a cameo of a real person, I don’t think they’re flattered.

The waitress looks like the cleaning lady character on Family Guy. :)

Restaurants should be places where people go to eat, not use their cell phones.

Occasionally when we go out of town both my wife and I look up directions, places of interest while waiting for our food to arrive. We share what we find, so we are not ignoring one another, just including the internet in our decision making process.

Also we have found that playing Cribbage while waiting for the food to arrive is an incentive to quick service, the waitstaff wants to get the food to us before the game ends. The downside of that is we never get to finish a game while at the restaurant. Better than bringing a timer with us I suppose. :^)

And she’ll make sure you have plenty of time to use the wi-fi.

I would have put the word “even” first. “Even the wi-fi is slower…”
