Used to drink beer and smoke up Marlboro’s Cigs in the house. Wife suffered from severe COPD. Spent 30 days in hosp/rehab from that and Congestive Heart Failure in 1992. Built a fancy Patio with tent top (hear rain) outside back french doors home as a place to smoke and not in home to affect her. Put a refrig and phone out there too. Very nice. Wife often sit out there with me puffing and guzzling. 1994 both her (lungs) and my mother (heart) ended up hosp for long spell. I didn’t smoke for almost 3 weeks (nor drink a beer) to keep from them smelling “stank” of cigs. Youngest son was five, so it helped him also. After wife got out hosp, I never went back to smoking nor drank since. 30 years now. Wife passed 2023 and mom 2005. Not missed it. From 3 packs a day to 0. At 10 dollars a pack now, 30 dollars a day, I’ve saved a lot of cash and helped my health for sure. And helped all my loved ones.Sold that home in 1995 and remodeled way bigger home to help my wife. Made a lot of new memories since then. I miss my wife. We really matched. Fishing and grew up farmers, and always had huge garden for her canning and freezing. We butchered our own meat and until late in life, yard chickens, turkeys and she loved her Peacocks. She was a seamstress until Dementia.

I’ve been known to drink a beer or two
And I can handle Whiskey 90 Proof
I’m just fine with a glass of wine, champagne to cabernet
But I crossed the line when I crossed the border and hang out with those aid
‘Cause with one tequila, it’s bring on the salt and lime
With two tequilas the whole bar’s a friend of mine
But with three tequilas my legs don’t work no more
Yeah, it’s one tequila, two tequila, three tequila floor
I might end up in a Tijuana jail
Oh, and I think it’s table left and up of ale
Cannonball into a neighbor’s pool without a stitch of clothes
But by the end of the night, I’ll be tongue tied tryin’ to offer up some espanol
’Cause with one tequila, please pass me the salt and lime
With two tequilas the whole bar’s a friend of mine
But with three tequilas my legs don’t work no more
Yeah it’s one tequila, two tequila, three tequila floor
I’ll be glad to pour for all you senioritas
But I’d rather taste the salty kiss than have a sip of your margarita
’Cause with one tequila, please pass me the salt and lime
With two tequilas the whole world’s a friend of mine
Now I know with three tequilas my legs won’t work no more
Yeah, it’s one tequila, two tequila, three tequila floor
Yeah, It’s four tequila, five tequila, then six tequila door
Somebody take me home
Dude, you know I can’t drink tequila, call me a cab
I know but can’t

Fond memories of bargain priced pitchers of Tequila Sunrises at White Horse Inn in Champaign, IL (U of I) mid-70’s.

Well it’s Sunday Mornin’
And the sun in shinin’
In my eye that is open
And my head is spinnin’
Was the life of the party
I can’t stop grinnin’
I had to much Tequila last night
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys?
Did I shoot out the lights?
Did I dance on the bar?
Did I start a fight?
Now wait a minute
Things don’t look to familiar
Who is this cowboy
Who’s sleepin’ beside me?
He’s awful cute, but how’d I
Get his shirt on?
I had to much Tequila last night
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys?
Did I shoot out the lights?
Did I dance on the bar?
Did I start a fight?
All those little shooters
How I love to drink ’em down
Come on bartender
Let’s have another round [Modulates]
Well the music is playing
And my spirits are high
Tomorrow might be painful
But tonight we’re gonna fly
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime
Every time we get together
I sure have a good time
You’re my friend
You’re the best
Mi amigo
(Tequila)
Jose Cuervo you are a friend of mine
I like to drink you with a little salt and lime
Did I kiss all the cowboys?
Did I shoot out the lights?
Did I dance on the bar?
Did I start a fight?

in the 80s would travel down to Ensenada once or twice a year, go to Hussong Castina for beer and Tequila. It was enough till the next year
