China has over 1200 coal fired generating plants but my car is the problem? Give me a break. How long does it take to rebuild a wind turbine farm after a tornado goes through it…..or a solar farm after a hail storm? We don’t really need to worry about it. According to environmentalist, we’re all going to die due to “climate change”. I’m all for doing what we can to clean up our world, but the extremist have gone entirely nuts.
So. I own an F-150 Lighting (it’s the electric version of the F-150) and while I very much like the truck, a thought has occurred to me…….
How long is it going to be before the lefties/greenies begin electron shaming those of us that drive an EV that is not as clean as they think it should be? Or uses more electricity than they deem appropriate? It’s only a matter of time. And, no I am not joking. Mark my words.
There are a lot of commenters who seem to think Eno is a brilliant example to follow. I worked with engineers of the California Air Resources Board and think they are much more intelligent than Eno. You can go to the California web site and see the results of full calculations on energy and CO2 for full life cycle of different vehicles and fuels. It even evaluates where each fuel comes from, how it’s transported, and produced. There could be two or three answer for each vehicle based on fuel. Electric ALWAYS comes out cleanest. Least net energy, least CO2 production, least VOCs.

Releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere is not the same as producing carbon. Only a nuclear power plant can create carbon.

I’m not a big fan of electric cars. We do have a hybrid which costs half as much to fill the tank than a gas only car
