And I remember ‘Pink Pearl’ erasers, though the ones I remember were half pink and half grey, and the ends were slanted, not squared off…

Pink Pearl, a true pro tool. My wife did drafting, put in quite a few years on the board before going to CAD. A standard gag in the old school shops was, “They pay us the same no matter which end of the pencil we use,”
“I’m gonna rub ya’ out, see? Rub ya’ out.”
Nice to see that M.Tatulli still uses a Pink Pearl eraser!
