That thing’s practically a whale !  They should be able to feed on it for almost a week.

Sorry, Chesney, but I have to ask. What’s the story with the big fish?

    Today is:

NATIONAL BE A MILLIONAIRE DAY. I don’t even need a million dollars. I’d be happy with half that! Or with a quarter of that! Or a tenth of that! Yes, I’d be happy with $100,000.

    NATIONAL RESCUE DOG DAY

    NATIONAL SUGARBEE® APPLE DAY

    NATIONAL STREAMING DAY

NATIONAL PICK STRAWBERRIES DAY. Strawberries are not in season here until June.

    NATIONAL QUICHE LORRAINE DAY

    NATIONAL GURU DAY

OK I don’t. But I guess there’s an “Old Man” out in “the Sea” that asks himself why his fish has gone a(Heming)way…

I wouldn’t be surprised if Chesney’s “natural charm” hasn’t got him worse in the past.

I would love to know how two cats got that big fish onto the dolly.

Better ask Snow and his family over for the feast. Yesterday at the Hatchery a visitor mentioned he had seen a pretty snake outside. Naturally, I asked to see it and surprised him by picking it up for a snuggle. Gopher snakes are known for their bluff strikes, but this one bit me on the nose and the guy really freaked out. I explained they are non venomous and I was fine. Cranky snake! I let it go after a few minutes.. And used a little anti biotic was on my nose. Ha, that was the good part of the day. The bad part, however, is that there is something dead somewhere in my car that I believe is around the air conditioning duct that I can not get to. Hoping it’s not an expensive fix. It needs to be found, removed and the smell completely gone before I can leave my car at any trailhead. Bears have a nose about a thousand times stronger than ours and will destroy my car if there is even the slightest lingering odor.

So, did they steal the $3.95/lb fish and have a fight along the way, or did they catch it, and have a fight along THAT way?

Better get out the tartar sauce! A LOT of tartar sauce. On another note, saw a varied thrush, a junco, eleven robins, two rabbits, two Wilson’s warblers, and a spotted towhee while out walking today.
