My mom, who wouldn’t let me play with toy guns or anything sharp, bought me a boomerang when I was about 8. A boomerang is basically a flying “club” that when thrown properly will circle around to hit you in the head. Thanks mom. Btw, I never actually got hit. But, it didn’t take me long to understand the danger.

Real hunting boomerangs don’t come back. Only competition boomerangs are designed to return.

It is impossible to lose a boomerang. If you throw it and it doesn’t come back it was never a boomerang, only a stick.
