It is unlikely that we will see any orange jumpsuits resulting from this trial. So far, the New York justice system has bent over backwards to be sure that Trump is treated just as any other person in his position would be treated. If they continue to do that, and they will, because they are under heavy scrutiny from both directions, he will pay a large fine, and be put on probation. He will have to have his travel plans OKd by his probation officer. Ordinarily, he wouldn’t be allowed to leave the jurisdiction, but exceptions might be made for this when necessary for business. Overseas travel will almost certainly be prohibited. Probably won’t want to campaign out of the country anyway. But, would be decidedly inconvenient and embarrassing for the president to have to skip a summit meeting in Europe because he isn’t allowed out of the country. And, no, he can’t pardon himself for this, because it is a state court and the president can only pardon federal crimes.

Of course, if he is elected, he has said he wants to be dictator for one day. And that is the day that all of his crimes, as well as the witnesses and prosecutors will simply disappear. Then, as dictator, he will decide one day wasn’t near enough.

I think Oscar Wilde said it, but I could be wrong. “The only thing worse than being talked about, it NOT being talked about.” Fits trump to a T. Someone else, I don’t know who, said, “There is no such thing as bad publicity.”

I have read that most cases of this type end in some type of probation especially for a first time offender (well, convicted offender). That seems likely here.

Trump will show no remorse and he obliquely defied the gag order by going on a lengthy rant against Cohen even though he did not say his name. His meeting with the probation officials should prove interesting, although I don’t know if that report will be made public. He deserves jail time, but in NY first time criminals in this type of case don’t receive it. But maybe the lack of remorse, his disparagement of the judicial system and his dancing around the gag order will weigh heavily in Judge Merchan’s mind.

Will Trump be bragging – those on the jury were saying – the most beautiful trial they have ever served on, just beautiful. They were crying – weeping loudly. Cameras should have been allowed. Folks they cried like babies. Jury was forced by mean old Judge into a guilty vote. They wanted to shake my huge hands and hug me but Judge made me leave courtroom. Witch hunt guilty…. ranting – foaming at mouth. Georgia could be Prison disaster if the corrupt Supreme Court stops its Trump crawl.

From what they say, since it is a 4th class felony, he may get house arrest or communuty service (I wonder which of his MAGA cult members will volunteer to do the community service for him?)

actually I’d prefer to see him doing community service, like street sweeping, picking up dog droppings, etc.
