It’s crazy. Always get pet insurance. We got a quote for knee surgery of $7,000. Love my dog. Weighed impact of all the stress and outcome for an old dog. Talked to the vet and she tried medicines, rest and supplements. My dog rides in a buggy and gets limited exercise. She sniffs for 10 minutes at various safe parks each day. She is doing real good so far. Each day I must remind her to not chase the squirrels.
