This scenario looks somehow like when we were on the Swabian Alb in 8th grade for field work in field measurement. Except we did not have a hole and flag. What we had was a bunch of odd characters and about 30 different looking maps at the end of the two weeks. And none looking similar to the place we measured :-D But it was mostly great fun.

The King wants to improve his handicap and we know things like that can be of national importance more so than inflation and the open border. FORE!

Why is Rodney standing off the green? As caddies, we always put the flagstick on top of our shoes. And held the flag to keep any wind from blowing it.

Under the rules of golf, the surveyor’s transit is legal, but the plumb bob is not. However, he could use a golf club as a plumb bob.

I like aligning my club with the ball and hole, like a reference line or something. I’m too competitive.
