Reminds me of a summer NSF program. The short order cook faked not understanding English much, so if you wanted eggs, it was 1 or 2, up or over. Drove some of the students nuts. I had a big family, so I was happy the eggs were still hot.
As a high-school-age waitress, I once had a customer who ordered “salad dressing” on her sandwich instead of mayo. I didn’t immediately make the connection that she was talking about something like “Miracle Whip”, which we didn’t even have. She was absolutely livid! And of course it was all my fault.
Some fancier restaurants I have been to smelled like pepper. Than the employee comes around with the pepper mill offering more pepper. What are they hiding?
Lactose intolerant here. Cobb Salads are easy—no blue cheese, please; dressing on the side. I’ve found if it’s something a restaurant can easily leave off, they don’t mind. But if you’re asking them to change out the contents—Alex—go home and make your own.
