I see resumes like this. There are a lot of “Results-driven, detail-oriented, team players” out there. All of them “Successfully increase profitability through the optimization of utilization.”
As a writer who believes in “verbs and short words,” these resumes upset my stomach. They are like eating a cake with too much sugar and lard icing on it.
Unfortunately, AI also produces resumes like this. AI has its place in the resume-writing world, but it still needs adult supervision and rewriting to get the human touch.
I will bow out now. I’ve written pages of comments about resumes. Along with computer security, it’s one of my pet peeves.
