You do understand that the cat can leap down whenever it wants to and be gone in a blur. Neither you or Jock would be able to keep up. Cats are fast, well armed, and amazing creatures.

Good to see Jock again. Someone mentioned recently that we haven’t seen Jock or Yorky for a while. Hopefully, we will see Yorky again soon.

I’ve told this story before. But, it still makes me laugh. We had a tree in the garden whose roots were undermining the wall and the public footpath, so it had to go. A local cat was being chased, leapt the wall and leapt for the now missing tree, landed on the grass with a puzzled look and sat staring up at where the tree had been with an expression of ‘I could have sworn’…

A Siamese cat? Must be a young one or Fred and Jock would be toast.

A Siamese cat should be able to easily get away. They are smart and athletic

We haven’t had any cats in the back yard since we got two more mutts.

A cat can jump from the tree to a roof or wall and skedaddle that way. Or the cat can take a huge jump to get a great lead in the chase. Or pull the Ginzu knives from their paws and let the slicing begin. I think some cats enjoy the chase, or perhaps it’s taunting. Depends on fiestiness of the cat. And yes, the 10 hour nap is another, effortless option.

That is just plain evil. If the cat is really stuck there (and it might be), there is little more awful than being at bay.

I’ve owned Siamese before. Jock is potentially in very big trouble. A really motivated and angry Siamese can easily lick 5 times their weight in dogs.
