You need a laptop computer to reconcile a bank statement?

I remember those days having to reconcile personal banking with checking account, bank was always right, plus keep track of what was paid on. Now with ebanking no longer have to do that, I still keep track of our banking. My son also keeps track of his, he had a surprise the bank let go through, lot of money removed by theft nothing he had done, son did go to bank with his dad to talk to them fill out a form of the theft, as the money removal was electronic, the attention brought priority to the missing money, they did find what happened close to a week, then switched it back to his account, to get started our son had to fill out a form of the theft, once money restored, had to change his account number. Was a lot of money for odd car repair.My sibling and I have a business bank for a very small business account so reconciling is important.
