Great Oak forests covered the U.S. from Atlantic to the Mississippi River at one time, largely thought to be the results of squirrels stashing and forgetting acorns, which sprouted and grew.
Will try again finding squirrel proof methods for my bird feeders. Squirrel baffles do not baffle them. Putting Vaseline on the poles either. Sprinkling cayenne on the food or giving them unshelled peanuts … uh uh … waste of time.
My indoor cats love to watch the birds feeding. The cheeky squirrels come right outside the windows and tease the cats. I’d love to wipe the grins off their squirrely faces!

Acorns taste nasty. The squirrels can have all of them.

They don’t have to pay taxes. They’re sovereign citizens.

Where I live there are more acorns that the squirrels can take advantage of.

And how much are YOU paying, Fang? I guess if Eno could ever keep a job, he’d be payin’, too.

especially the wealthy squirrels… they get to take advantage of all those (loop) holes in the trees!
