Given the coverage of high school sports by major print, cable and streaming outlets, this should surprise no one. As I write this, ESPN is offering replays of HS games involving teams from 7 different states; their upcoming offerings feature a dozen Missouri teams and, of course, “High School Football Showcase” coming up on 9/20.

I guess the whiners here don’t actually pay attention to regional/national sports media.

When the author took over this strip two years ago, one of the first strips showed Gil and Marty as buddies, something that had never happened previously. Marty has always been my favourite character, so I thought of this as an interesting change…but Marty’s been mostly ignored ever since. We’ll see.
