There is a reason why grass on a lawn far away frequently looks greener. When you are standing in the grass on your own lawn, you are looking at it from a more top-down angle. You have a more perpendicular line of sight to the brown dirt in between the blades of grass, which you’re looking at edge-on. By contrast, looking at your neighbor’s lawn from farther away obscures the sight of the brown dirt more, and you are also looking at the blades of grass from more of a side angle. This increases the perceived ratio of green to brown.

It’s hard to believe, Ziggy, that this is America sometimes with people being belittled for their opinion, which is allowed.

Nudity doesn’t do much for me. Revealing outfits peak my interest more.

Grass at a distance is seen from a much lower angle than the grass at your feet, thus looking denser and greener. Q.E.D. :)
