The number of videos and articles on how to open a can without a can opener is amazing.
We have enough for a week or so lockdown. We also have go-bags but don’t really anticipate needing them. We live in an area usually unaffected by hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, big blizzards or wild fires. But it never hurts to have them ready.
That means they’ll have to leave the shelter and face the… guh! NEW NEIGHBORS!!
Find a spoon and I’ll show you how to safely open it. Or a knife but know that’s a little riskier.

I remember the “forgot the can opener” nuclear bunker gag being used in a Gary Larson cartoon. I guess it’s a common one.
There was a British comedy short film called “Three Men in a Boat” about a similar situation.
Kind of extreme to avoid all the political commercials. You could just not turn the TV and radio on.
p-38 greatest can opener ever! Get 10 or 20 of them.
Where are the AK-47s and cases of ammunition?
