Seagull there first. He likes school.

I really love Mrs. Mac.

But are they mature enough to learn about . . . pollination?

Wallace once had a roof top garden on the school. He also tried to start a mulch pit in his locker. The roof garden worked well. The mulch pit, not so much.

I wish schools taught practical stuff.

I like the fact that schools are teaching things like gardening. I think people think food comes from back of supermarkets.

Soil science was one of my favorite classes; I almost switched majors!

OK, I see Wallace, Spud, and Seagull in panel 1. Rose is probably already inside with book open and soaking in the ambiance. Amelia is probably on the roof with Seagull planning her shenanigans for welcome back to school surprise.

Wallace & friends must attend an old-style one-room multigrade school. Mrs. Mac knows it all, and rules that roost.

When he gets to high school it’ll be the sex education that’ll disappoint him.
