Why does this seem like Deja vu?

I worked for a cruise line that would berth their supply ship on the Miami River on of the employees would be making sure things are in order for the re-stock and would be approached by individuals asking for a handout. They were told “No” but if they would come by tomorrow there is work that they could do. Can you believe that no one took up the offer. As one retired military man said to me: “Most people don’t want a job just a pay checque.”

One example, two lessons..?

So, the lesson here is?

Delray, you know NOTHING about this guy. Don’t send him to your mother until you learn something about him first!

The most unbelievable part of this is that a kid would have actual cash on them.

Keep in mind “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”

A hand up not a hand out.

Pass it on.

That’s the right way to help.

give a man some money and he’ll have a meal, give him a job and a place to stay and he’ll be able to start rebuilding his life

Helping hand.

As a former homeless drug addict, this is exactly right. I never give money to the homeless. I give to the Salvation Army, who does a wonderful job helping the homeless
