NATIONAL BRAVE DAY. On the fourth Friday in September, National BRAVE Day honors women who lift each other up, rescue each other and make each other BRAVE.
when my little Gizmo got an X ray in ten minutes rather than the forty alloted, the vet told me that the extra time was for ‘subduing the cat’ and that Gizmo cooperated immediately and the process was completed quickly. “She’s a real angel”, they said. “I don’t want her going to Heaven just yet,” I replied.
Poor poor Annie, I hate seeing her cry. I wish I could post pictures of my day in the aspens yesterday – PEAK color in an out of the way area called Sagehen Summit, or Sagehen Meadow, and no one else was there. Google if you are interested. Colors are early this year, going for another hike this morning but staying away from the weekend crowds. And we are still in this mid 90s heatwave for another week.
Little Hondo won’t take the bottle any more. She’s eating mushy food with KMR mixed in. Dana built a door that’s half plexiglass and she’s moved into that bedroom. All of the other cats can see her. One of them, Butterscotch, seems to want to be with her and Deb thinks she’ll be Hondos’ foster mom. Butterscotch was one of the feral kittens Deb rescued from one of the litters that came from the horrible rednecks behind her. In fact, all of her currents cats came from there as kittens. Right now, she’s trying to trap a litter and the mama to get them all fixed.

That’s what we’re all afraid of, Annie. Hopefully, he’ll recover. On another note, saw two dragonflies, a rabbit, and a wren while out walking today.

All cats are angels, but Oliver is a special angel. He just used one of his nine lives, not all of them.
