Punch is not really ‘pulling his weight’, though as a watchdog, all he’s really supposed to do is bark at the right time (moment of danger). Apparently that’s the difference between Punch and a guard dog… who would fight back rather than just sound an alarm.
Contact! Switch on! Crazy is in the cockpit and poised to pilot his way into history. Personally, I think the Wright Brothers had the right idea with a small motor and 20-foot or so cruising height, at least for starters. But I guess there was no one to give Crazy flying lessons. Good luck!
Abretha is out at the butcher shop to lay in a fresh supply of provisions, and let slip that Brenda has herself a fella. Tornado knows where this is going…
Jessica is out at her old friend Nina’s house to continue to complain about Miss Melba helping Pert through his recent illness. I guess she thinks Melba is trying to skip the line? Nina knows what’s going on here.

Nice to see “Gasoline Alley” back today. I suppose we’ll be back to the kiddie fantasy tomorrow.

We need more diner puns, like maybe “How hot are the hot cakes for breakfast?”

I STILL like the other waitress better,
Apparently her “minor heart surgery” wasn’t so minor
