I told Sam-E “NO” this morning when he tried to wake me at 3 AM. He started knocking small noisy things around the bedroom. Eventually he just got in the bed and waited until 5, when he couldn’t stand it any more.
I dislike changing the clocks for several reasons. I have the worlds’ oldest alarm clock, for one, and it takes a few minutes to change. My wall clock requires a ladder for me. Even just two steps up on it was extra hard last night due to increased vertigo. I had to hold onto the fireplace mantle. Once it was done, I had, in my sight, a clock with the new time already set and also an Echo set at the actual time. I decided to go to bed at the old time, and really my dog and I have adjusted well. It’s probably easier for me since I do not sleep very much, even though I need about double what I can get lately.

No, Floof, that means Kate gets to sleep an extra hour, not the other way around. Let her go back to sleep, please.

Pets’ body clocks are hardwired. Mine didn’t understand weekends and vacations.

You’re supposed to let Kate have extra sleep, not wake her up early, Floof!

“An Ant-sister” = love it! When my sis (5 years younger) was little, she used to say she was my “ancestor” (aunt-sister?).

Missy just sleeps in every morning—because…Mom. I am not getting up early (well, this morning…)

Oh, so THAT’S why they call it “day of the dead”!
Among the many reasons I hate changing the clocks, one is that it is impossible to explain to pets why their dinner isn’t on time.

Thank dog for that. Save Standard Time, abolish Daylight Saving Time.

Thanks Floof.
