Uuuuh… Do any baseball players actually wear jewelry on the field?

Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I have never been into sports, and even less the US ones (even during the 14 years I lived there).

Bucky has a point. Some sports LOOK more like sports.

Then he broke out into the YMCA dance.

Baseball: The starting lineup spends half the game sitting around doing nothing. Starting pitchers work about 30 days a year, and rarely pitch a complete game. Yes folks, they truly earn their millions.

“It’s a lazy sport. It looks like it was originally invented for cats.”-Comedian Kyle Kinane. So, it should be right up Bucky’s alley!

Wait a minute. I thought “real” baseball players chewed tobacco? If not, then I’ll have to agree with Bucky.

That last line reminds me of the seeming non-sequitur in Perry Como’s hit song:

“Hoop-dee-doo, hoop-dee-doo / I hear a polka and my troubles are through / Hoop-dee-doo, hoop-dee-dee / This kind of music is like Heaven to me / Hoop-dee-doo, hoop-dee-doo / Has got me higher than a kite / Hand me down my soup and fish /I am gonna get my wish, hoop-dee-doin’ it tonight.”

Supposedly “soup and fish” was once a familiar idiom for the kind of clothes a man would wear to a formal dinner.

I think Bucky may have been hit by a stray pitch. That’s definitely concussion-talk!
