Don’t let politics tear your family apart. Thanksgiving is for finding things to be thankful for, and family is one of those things.

We have an uncle like that in our family. It’s ME!

Maybe Dehlia should listen to her uncle and realize he’s no bigot and he was right all along, which is how President Trump won the electoral college and the popular vote and pulled both houses of Congress along on his coattails. The Golden Age has begun. Happy Thanksgiving!

Saying this may help to keep the peace during TG, “I believe that you believe in your belief. I do not experience what you believe in my life, so my experience and thus my beliefs are different to yours.” If nothing else, they’ll stop arguing with you long enough to ponder what on earth you’re talking about.

I would think twice before attacking that guy.

She should get a magic hat pin instead. She can use it to burst out of her bubble and realise that good and fair people can have good and fair reasons to disagree with her.

At least she’s keeping an open mind and a positive attitude.

somehow, I don’t think that magic necklace is enough to get that kind of negativity from him. especially when she wants to do that to him.

Boy, she’ll buy into any B.S. out there.

Not as much as he’s dreading how to deal with your self-righteous, condescending, left bubble delusions.

She imagines her uncle saying “ Uncle! Uncle!”.

Try sitting at the kids table this year!

Grateful there is not one single bigoted right-wing a-hole in our entire family!

after the election results this year a lot of people came up with an interesting and novel idea, disinviting their racist, sexist, and otherwise bigoted relatives from thanksgiving, or refusing to go if they are.

Who is gonna “shield” the uncle? She’s pretty vicious. :)

I, for one, am extremely thankful for NO family. :)

I’ve known several unfortunate women who decided to let their “auras” protect them from strangers.

Isn’t it ironic that she envisions violence against the uncle with whom she disagrees? She could try setting a boundary instead, or use the deaf ear approach.

The sexist bigots are far more common from the left these days. It’s just that they don’t care as they are sexist against men (and women when it comes to trans) and bigoted against anybody who isn’t ignorantly socialist or woke like they are.

Jim, do you like polarizing half of your audience?

I like her approach.

I have to deal with my radical left-wing uncle… go figure…

Both ways are great.

As the saying goes…you can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family. But you can pick who to invite. I’m right leaning, but I have no use for the radicals on the left or right.
