Back in the 1980s, when I was in my 30’s, my dad took mom and me out for Thanksgiving. It was by reservation in a swanky hotel restaurant. We were served a whole (unstuffed) roasted turkey (about 8-10 lbs), with all the usual sides, including a delicious butternut squash soup, and our choice of traditional desserts, plus plenty of packaging to take home leftovers. I’m sure it cost him a LOT, but it saved my mom and me a ton of cooking and cleanup, and we still had leftovers!
What is there to be thankful for? The USA is not the country it was. So much hatred. Even here we see constant hateful comments. Just try being nice to each other, if that is possible. lol
Count me in! That’s what my family has been doing for years. Helps avoid having to eat dreaded dried out turkey leftovers for days or weeks on end afterward. (I’m OK with turkey once a year on Thanksgiving day, but I really, really, REALLY hate leftover turkey).

Even Cagney is like “Wait a minute, that reduces my chance of table scraps”.
