Can barely recall the last time we actually cut a live tree. I do recall that it had so much ragweed on it that after one day of severe allergies, we dragged it outside and bought an artificial one.

An affordable tree is what you are looking for.

When we lived on several acres in rural area, we tried cutting different type of tree each year. One year we cut what looked like small upright long needle pine. Next morning after night in heated house, limbs had relaxed enough to cover 8’ sliding glass door and half of den. Was fun decorating anyway. Just took a lot more tinsel and lights.

Another time we choose a small fir. Next morning there were small mantises all over the den and ceiling. Their wintering pods had opened in the heat. Sons and pup had great fun chasing them while I tried to vacuum the room. That was fun even before the lights and balls.

One year we were looking for a small tree for our crowded apartment. The guy on the lot said, “Oh, you want one of them Charlie Brown trees.”

At least he has a saw. It drives me bonkers to see people in films going to get a tree with an ax.

We have conifers all over the property. No need to kill one to have inside. We intend to finish up the interior decorating this weekend. I think the Mrs has another 50 feet of garland, aother string of lights and a ceramic Spongebob Santa. Not coming down until January 31st.

Now now, Charlie Brown Christmas trees need love too.

I am a softie, I feel sorry for the little weird tree everyone else ignores, .. so I buy that one as well, and make it as nice as possible. Every tree deserves that.
