my deer get watermelon and pumpkin as well as the usual corn, the turkeys and quail get birdseed and the squirrels get an assortment of nuts some with shells for latter

Now we know where Rose’s love for garlands originates.

I’ve given much thought to which comic I would want to inhabit for life if I could. “Rose Is Rose” and “Mutts” are definitely my top two. The people are almost always all kind and there’s little to nothing in the way of substantive conflict. “Red & Rover also has a peaceful vibe.” Even if I often laugh at the antics, I would NOT want to live in “Pearls Before Swine,” “The Lockhorns,” “Prickly City,” or “Doonesbury.”

I’ve always gotten a sideways glance when I’ve told others I don’t believe in the Christmas spirit. I don’t think being kind, generous and nice to others should be limited to the 6 week time span between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but to be shared with others all year round. Hooray for Mee-Maw for sharing these things with others throughout the year because that is just who she is! :0)

It’s not hard to be kind! Think before you speak. How would you feel? Put yourself in someone else’s shoes.

I hope that garland is eco-friendly. Even if Meemaw comes back in a couple of weeks to take it down, various critters will have tried to eat it by then.
