As a kid whenever I was tasked to change the channel I had to walk clear across the room. Barefoot! Over shag carpet! Uphill! Both ways! Dodging my sister’s jacks embedded in the carpet! Trying to evade my mother’s demon cat’s razor blade claws if I got to close! Good times!
Technology really has changed, since TV sets have gone from having knobs to change the channel or turn it off to being completely devoid of these buttons on the set themselves and only accessible by remote.

Batteries for the remote? Lame! I remember when the remotes were wired to the television. And before that, my brothers and I were the remotes.

I have to admit that my reactions are very similar to Garfield’s one in such a case… (Please don’t look at my shameful read face ;-p )

Just to show that Garfield is a good kitty as long as the TV remote works and his lasagna is ready to serve.

Seen a pack of batteries with “Gift not included”. I thought it was funny.

Alternate Ending: The speech balloon in the final panel could read “I replaced the batteries in Liz’s…” Never mind.
