Call Sarah, the switchboard operator in Mayberry, North Carolina, for the information you require. It always worked for Andy, Barney, Gomer, Goober, Floyd and Aunt Bee.
For TWO days (starting at 8 AM yesterday and until just now) I’ve been dealing with TriCare West (the military healthcare plan) and it’s been a nightmare. They’re changing plans and I swear, the next time I have to ‘choose a number’, I’m going to choose #3 – "are you having a mental crisis right now?‘. Yes, yes, I am! I started at 8 AM yesterday and was ready to tear my hair out by the time Brad got home just after noon. He took over and was at it until 4PM. I can’t tell you how many people we talked to, now many sites we had to go to. He got almost all of it finished around 6 PM. I started again this morning at 7:30 and have just one part left – the signing up for auto payment withdrawal. I have it now but have to do it again with the new system. I kept getting an error notice so called AGAIN. I couldn’t understand the first woman – it was a horrible connection, all garbly. I gave up and called again. Got a lady with a clear connection. Follower her instructions and kept getting an error notice on that page. Called again. Was told the site was down! Great, they give us a deadline that’s coming up soon and they don’t have the site up and running? That #3 / mental health crisis option is looking better all of the time.
I miss the Yellow Pages. It was so nice to have all the info right in front of you without scrolling and clicking and scrolling and clicking and scrolling.
