I had a boss who thought $5 an hour bought you a great hard working dedicated employee. I told him we spend what he takes home weekly at the casino when we go. This was 20 years ago but it still wasnāt any kind of money when you considered Uncle Sam taking 1/4 of it than car expenses and rent.
he likes to mess with him, doesnāt heā¦ well, maybe mess with him may not be the right words to use. but he still enjoys making him mad for his efforts. :j
My first reaction would be to say keep it. You need it more than l do. AND donāt expect free overtime from me ever again. However, first reactions are usually not wise to follow .Could be a test; the money might be included in a Christmas Bonus; or as management works without overtime pay, he may be up for that next promotion. Naaaaaaa. Just take the check and say, āThank you sir, may l have anotherāā¦ā¦.
