Sitting in the Thenar space of the Mitten of which I’m quite smitten pondering Dickens and Giddens with the chickens and pigeons; decisions about traditions defy additions. What then about the kitten? As long as there is no ribbon of admission on the condition of the emissions, the kitten will have provisions.

Wouldn’t cats eat all the tinsel (to be pooped out later), knock all the ornaments off the tree, tables, mantles and counters, and knock all the gifts around?

We were advised it’s time to dress up for the holidays when making therapy dog visits at the hospital. Last year, it was recommended to me here to buy a sweatshirt that says, “Dashund through the snow” and I did get it, but it came a day or two late for me to wear it. I got it out yesterday, was all excited to wear it. Well, two problems. It fit me last year, but I am much thinner now, so it really hung on me. Also, no pockets, and no place to attach my badge and Bunny’s. I made it work anyway, and wore my festive sweatshirt and will wear it every time we go until the 26th. When it gets cold again, which will probably happen tomorrow, I will wear my either my Santa hat or my Christmas one. Bunny has a very pretty green and red “necklace” that stands out as very holiday appropriate, since she will not wear clothing. Plus I prefer her warm fur is available for petting anyway. She’s been sleeping since we got home after visits yesterday, except to eat and go outside. She never gives a hint at the hospital to how tired she really is.
