I watched Mr Bean a few nights ago and he was in a fancy French eatery, he unknowingly ordered shrimp and oysters. Rowan Atkinson never failed to deliver!
A Michelin Star restaurant decided to buy a McDonalds franchise. Now they have 2 menus. Waiter says they just ran out of food on the Michelin Star menu.
I actively prefer regular food, thanks. I’m vegetarian, and certain restaurants seem to think vegetarian food is flavorless unless they dump a kitchen sink’s worth of seasonings into it and call it gourmet. Usually, those are the same restaurants that think a portion smaller than their kids’ meals is the right size for a vegetarian adult. I have been served $25 dollar entrees with under 200 calories and so much seasoning they were all but inedible. I would rather be given a baked potato with cheese and broccoli. It would be both tastier and more filling.
I was with a buddy who is from Hong Kong in Chinatown Los Angeles and he took me to a Chinese restaurant that served Sichuan and Cajun foods (spicy) – this was nearly thirty years ago way before fusion foods became popular. The live Jazz music was also a surprise.
