We are screwed as long as D members of Congress continue to believe that Congress old norm of placing Country above Party still exists. And bring butter knives to the open war that the party of trump is fighting against Democrats

If you’ve been following the (ahem) activities of South Korea and its presidential malarky in declaring martial law you’d be pleased and honored to hear one of their Members of Parliament say:

“Democracy is strong here,” Hong said. “The military needs to listen to us, to the constitution, and not to the president.”

Wise words.

We won’t hear them here, will we?

That would be Linda McMahon of fellow-billionaire status, somebody who understands that money is intended for the already-rich, not for those messy, bothersome, snot-nosed little kids in the public schools.

Much to my own surprise, I’m compelled to give credit where it’s due. Back when the presidential campaign was in full swing, I posted this tongue-in-cheek comment:

I plan to run for president on a platform with only 2 planks:

 1) a complete end to semi-annual clock-switching.

 2) making all toll roads utterly illegal.

I predict that I won’t need to say another thing to win by a landslide.

Now it turns out that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy have stolen my #1 item. I’d say “Thank you, guys, for using level-headed thinking as far as daylight ‘saving’ time is concerned”, but I’m not sure that my remaining position on toll roads will suffice to get me over the top in 2028.

Once again, the fall of Western Civilization is imminent.

There are rocks involved but I think they’re being smoked, not cooked…
