Joe Biden said he wouldn’t pardon his son… before the election. He, like many of us assumed the country would vote for common sense and decency. Hunter would then have to do his probation, which is in no means, total freedom.
But cruelty and division won the election. tRump and maga will still use his newly gained power to harass and badger Hunter, but with the pardon he won’t do hard time for offenses that normally are handled by a probation officer. Since when were cons so adamant about upholding laws against guns, and tax evasion? They are threatening retribution for the dems upholding law and order.
Joe is protecting his only remaining son from the upcoming sh!tstorm in the DOJ, and the cruelty soon to be unleashed on our country.
I’m OK with Biden’s son getting a pardon. Most people charged with crimes like his would not get prosecuted or would have deals done for community service or something. However, Biden pardoning his own son is just a bad precedent, IMO. If the next president pardoned Hunter (regardless of whether Trump did it or, had she won, Kamala) I’d be OK with that and it would not necessarily set a precedent.
Biden said he’d be a bridge to the future, not that he’d only serve one term. Any dad who didn’t pardon his son in this environment, with his circumstances, would be neglecting his duty.
Isn’t that a requirement to being a politician – that you can lie with a straight face? And when you don’t want to comit to anything or lie about you can talk around a subject forever.
Biden didn’t lie. He told the truth under the circumstances at the time. Those circumstances changed. The truth had to change with it or it would become a lie.
The Founding Fathers should have added the following section in Article 1: “If there is a cessation of government operations due to a failure to pass an annual budget, the Representatives and Senators of Congress Assembled, the President and Vice President of the United States, the Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States, the representatives and senators of the state legislatures, the Governors and Lieutenant Governors of the the various states, the justices of the various state governments, and the mayors of the various cities and leaders of the various local municipalities shall be fined half of their monetary holdings across all of their accounts for each day that the operations of the Federal Government are shut down. Moreover, their salaries shall be suspended during the applicable time period, and not restored until the resumption of government operations with the passing of an annual budget. Yet any money they shall have lost in fines shall not be returned to them, but put into a trust fund for the various federal, state, and local government workers who do not hold any of the above titles.” That would have stopped anyone from using the threat of a shutdown as leverage.
Republinuts are suggesting Elon Musk for Speaker of the House. Wouldn’t that screw up the line of succession since he (Musk) is not a native born citizen? Or are American political offices bought by foreigners exempt from constitutional dictates?
Hello Everyone about 1 month ago
Is that really the worst thing any politician has promised to do lately?

Sometimes you just change your mind because of changed circumstances.
Trump is suing a newspaper for having a poll that was wrong.
They want to prosecute Liz Cheney for not bending the knee to the Führer.
Biden should pardon lots of other people to protect them from an out-of-control dictator who only wants vengeance.

I don’t blame Joe for pardoning his son. Anyone who believed Biden’s promise to not pardon his son is either a moron or not a parent.
But he should still be blamed for lying to the morons who believed him.

Very poor. The comic ONLY mentions a couple of Biden’s lies while leaving out the serial liar Trump. Grossly misdirected.
