For some older people, their blood circulation is not as it used to be and thus they get cold easier. For them 72 is about right. Mine is usually set at 15C (59F). If needed I add an extra blanket (not an electric blanket). And NO I am NOT “hot stuff”. lol

72 is awfully hot, especially for sleeping. In winter, we keep ours at about 67, 66 at night. You sleep better in a cool space.

I try to keep my thermostat at 70F.
