Fillmore has obviously been influenced by Hawthorne. His last statement indicates that this is a scam. If buying the smoothie is “dumb,” it obviously doesn’t work, and everyone only thinks they are “smarter.” Whatever “smart” even means.

Fillmore is putting Hawthorne’s how-to-make-a-fast-buck schemes to shame…

Twelve bucks for a smoothie? That smarts.

One has to wonder if this will end up turning into a Soylent Green situation.

So, here on my line up of comics, I have Shoe right after Sherman’s Lagoon…and there’s a lady bird at Rose’s Diner asking for a delicous green smoothie…

Sounds a bit like the smart water scam.

That’s why the price is so high. He’ll only sell one to a customer.

I’m not generally haunted but, whenever I buy a bottle of water at a convenience store along the highway, I clearly hear my deceased Father’s voice in my head saying, “You paid two dollars for WHAT!”

Today’s Shoe has someone asking for another green smoothie today – called a Mojito

Does Fillmore figure that they’ll be easier to drink from an opaque glass?

I havent been in a smoothie store in a while, but I dont recall them ever being cheap
